Composed of an inorganic fiber and low-content binder facing that is mechanically clinched to a tin-plated steel core, this sealing technology is resilient and compressible, with excellent radial strength. Thermally stable, MBF provides dependable sealing of hot gases up to 649°C (1,200°F). With good resistance to oils, coolants, and fuels, MBF is ideal for hot gas applications found in the small engine market.
